Not quite dead and buried just yet (19th Aug 2010) As indicated below the Judas Kiss is in its death throws but like some stinky smell we are still lingering around, for now – but does anyone care anymore? We have just updated the site with a new interview and a number of new reviews and planning on ending with a Current 93 special of sort which will include a number of reviews and live videos shot at their second live concert in London this year. So hang on in there kids and don’t count us out just yet – we’re still twitching (just anyway) The Judas Kiss to cease (01st May 2010) Dear reader, After considerable soul-searching I've decided to finally call it a day with the Judas Kiss website. I've set a final date for the 31st May 2010 as the end, although it’s likely that this date may limp on for a few weeks after this until we finally reach the end of the road and all of our outstanding review material has been uploaded. I feel something in my life has to give and unfortunately the Judas kiss has been taking more and more of a backseat over the past 12 months or so, so a gut-wrenching decision was made that it would be this. The Judas kiss has been a massive part of my life since its earliest, pre-internet days of the mid ’90 and has not only introduced me to some amazingly innovative, moving and passionate music, it has also given me the opportunity to make some wonderful friends and acquaintances over years, to meet my heroes and make a splash, all be it minimal, on the industrial scene as a whole. So what does the future hold for the Judas Kiss’s web presence, well the site will be wound down over the next six weeks but will remain online for the foreseeable future as an archival recourse. Our MySpace page will keep active as there is some wonderful music still out there and MS is a fantastic way of keeping up with what is what. Our Yahoogroups list will be deleted within the next few weeks. The Judas kiss email address – judaskiss(at) freezone.co.uk will also remain live for foreseeable future to. And that’s that. But before I go I’d like to thank to the following: All of those who have worked on the Judas kiss in the past, all of the writers, contributors and those who have offered up submissions for inclusion. To the record labels, bands and individuals who have had enough faith in the Judas kiss to send their material for review, and in the printed days, advertised in our pages. To Kaosthetik for releasing the Judas Kiss presents Past, Present and Forever compilation, which is an immensely memorable high point in the history of the JK. To the current Judas Kiss writers who have been rocks over the last year or so and have helped no-end in helping the JK tick over - thank you guys!. To a number of individuals whose music and friendship have helped the Judas Kiss be what it is today – Simon Collins, Justin Mitchell (Cold Spring), David Tibet (Current 93), Michael Moynihan (Blood Axis), Douglas P (Death in June), Dan H (Monkey-house recordings and the WRAITHS), Boyd Rice and the late great Johnny Cash. There are 100’s more I could name but for fear of missing folk out, I won’t. If you’ve been involved in the Judas Kiss, especially whilst it existed in a printed form, this includes you too. Thank you for your time and support, With my head held high and a lump in my throat, I’d say “goodbye” here Lee Powell Judas Kiss editor important update concerning review material for the Judas Kiss (14th April 2010) Please note that as of the 19th of April the Judas Kiss will no longer be able to accept un-solicited review material. If you would like your release(s) reviewed after this date please get in touch with us via our email address. Any material received with a post mark up to and including the 19th will be reviewed as normal. Unfortunately there is a very good chance that any material arriving after the 19th of April we receive that we haven’t been contacted about prior, will not get reviewed. We currently have a large stock of un-reviewed material and the back-log is ever increasing. We feel it would be unfair to accept unsolicited review material at the minute and possibly have it sitting around for months before it can be reviewed. Thanks for you time and understanding in this matter Lee Judas Kiss editor And now the good news - IMPORTANT NEWS CONCERNING THE FUTURE OF THE JUDAS KISS p. II (31/08/09)
